How To Locally Edit a Webpage

Have you seen all of the fake pages on the internet that look like a news article or product listing from a reputable site? Well, here is how they do it.

1) Go the site that you want to edit

2) Copy this code into your address bar and press enter.

3) Just edit like a normal document. You can add/delete things, and even copy and paste!

Have fun!

**Note: Changes that you make to website cannot be seen by other people. There is no way of saving these changes or overwriting files on a server.

Love the blog! Easily the best I've seen.

Do people simply screenshot the page they've edited then?

When a friend showed me this trick (on this page), I thought, "Huh, neat." ...Followed almost immediately with "I'll never use THAT."

...But I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised to find myself on the Arkham City website, loving the wallpaper and using this trick to simply delete all of the text (and the logo image), leaving the background, fullscreening Chrome and then simply taking a screenshot and making that my wallpaper.

I could have searched for the location of the background image loaded that directly and saved it, of course, but by doing it this way (and with nothing showing on my second monitor other than my existing Spider-Man wallpaper, I had (with very little effort) a two-screen wallpaper with Batman on the left and Spider-Man on the right.

Nice trick. :)

I could truthfully have got sought out the location of the track record image packed that will immediately and also saved the idea, certainly, however simply by working that way (with practically nothing featuring in my small second monitor rather than our active Spider-Man kertas dinding, I needed (together with little or no attempt) any two-screen kertas dinding together with Superman about the kept along with Spider-Man on the appropriate.

Theoretically, you could change the process which obtains the password, and write a simple script to tell the site which passwords you want it to accept, so you could gain access.
