1) Get your chicken. If it is frozen, thaw it out.
2) Get your marinade. This part is important. I would suggest using barbeque sauce, honey mustard, italian dressing, or any combination of the three. I like to use 2 parts barbeque sauce, 1 part mustard, 1 part honey, 1 part honey mustard, 1 part italian dressing, a pinch of pepper, and a pinch of bay seasoning.
3) Put your chicken into a bag. If you have a vacuum packing machine (foodsaver), put it in of those bags, if not put it in another plastic bag that can be sealed.
4) Pour in your marinade slowly, making sure to cover the chicken.
5) Seal the bag. If you used a vacuum packing bag, then go again and vacuum the air out. The advantages of a vacuum sealed bag are that the vacuum opens the pores of the chicken allowing more marinade to enter the chicken faster.
6) Shake the bag. Make sure that the chicken has marinade all around it.
7) Refrigerate. Preferably for about 8 hours.
8) Cook, and enjoy.

ReplyDeleteAnd for those of us who speak English...the Marinade is a great way to ad extra flavor to chicken or any meat for that matter. Vacuum sealing is the best way but regular marinade works fine.

ReplyDeleteVacuum packing is the best way to Marinade anything.
ReplyDeleteOnce your done cooking make sure to deglaze the pan. You will get a great deal of flavors from the pan. Just use water or ? wine, beer, whatever...
Just reduce it down and make sure you try it before putting it on your meal.

ReplyDeleteHis point was, to sprinkle some marijuana onto the chicken first. I would actually recommend making Cannabis butter and smearing some of that on, after marinating and right before cooking it.
Works wonders, nothing like a meal of magical chicken.

ReplyDeleteIf you dont have a vacum sealer and dont want to wait 8 hours for it to marinate, get a syringe fill syringe with marinade and inject into bird. Repeat as needed to FULLY marinade bird. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThere is no counteracting the marinade from getting sucked into the vacuum. If the marinade starts getting vacuumed out then that's your cue to seal the bag (before the marinade reaches the opening/vacuum). It is probably the best indicator that you're doing it correctly (seeing as how if all the air is vacuumed out then there is nothing left to vacuum out except the marinade).

ReplyDeleteI bought this vacuum sealer and I like it a lot. I think it is very economical- good price, and it uses ordinary bags! You don't have to buy special ones! I save all the mylar packaging from food items- it's amazing how it adds up and it's perfectly reusable. I just open it carefully, or sometimes snip some off the top if it got messed up, and go to town.
